Aside from school, I’m heavily involved in my local ceramics studio. Over the summer, I challenged myself with this 3 part vase.
I used a darker clay body as the base and covered it with a porcelain slip. I then carved various designs without necessarily a deeper meaning– they’re simply things I enjoy drawing with inspiration from East Asian culture. This piece is ultimately an homage to my love of ceramics and art, and serves a reminder for me to continue working on my skills as a potter.
